Company Profile

Takeda Sangyo Co., Ltd. carries out two businesses; providing plastic goods and bags.

In the plastics goods division, we manufacture highly functional plastic films such as light shielding polyolefin film and polyurethane film in our own factory in Fukushima prefecture which is our affiliated company Formance.
Supplying our own brand films, our staff with technical expertise and experience on synthetic resin can offer one-stop service by meeting client's needs from arranging synthetic resin-related products to the contract for fabricated products.

The bag business division has started from wholesale business of leather materials and products, which is our earliest business at the time of establishment.

Before the war we were manufacturing and selling leather products for munitions, during the period of rapid-growth period after the war leather cases for single lens reflex cameras and luxury leather bags.

Currently, on a foundation of our many years of experience and knowledge, we can make all-in contract that covers designing bags and cases, material selection, procurement, production (OEM) all at once.

In addition, we offer a variety of other related materials such as natural leather, synthetic leather and interlining materials for bags, among which recycled leather is attracting attention as its soft texture and environmentally friendly new material. Eishin Co., Ltd., one of our affiliated companies, manufactures and sells school bags.

Management Philosophy

We have the well-known Japanese traditional spirit of "Sanpo-yoshi", which stands for the importance of consideration for customer, society, and the vendor. Incorporating the concept of "protection of global environment" into this philosophy, we embrace the idea of being respectful of users, suppliers, employees and the global environment which can be translated into "Yonpo-yoshi".

In 1909, started wholesale of leather materials and products in Nihonbashi, Tokyo, we have run the company for generations adapting changes in the times.
We contribute to the sustainable development of the Earth by providing the value to the society by our "Wa" technology and dialogue skill that come from of last 100 years of achievements.

CEO Minako Takeda

Takeda Sangyo was established as a wholesaler of leather materials and products in Nihonbashi, Tokyo in 1909.

With the time of 100 years thereafter, we have run the company for generations adapting changes in the times.
Based on knowledge and technology cultivated over many years of experience, we carefully interact with clients and suppliers and provide one-stop precise services ranging from planning, material selection, procurement, manufacturing, inventory control to delivery.

Even experienced significant changes throughout society, we survived until today because we have been blessed with customers and suppliers. Thanks to this experience, we share the spirit of caring for our clients, suppliers and other business partners, as well as our employees.
We call this spirit "power of Wa technology".

The famous philosophy of Omi merchants, "Sanpo-yoshi", implies the importance of consideration of benefit for all three sides; customer, society, and the vendor at the same time.
Learning from this spirit, we would like to embrace "Yonpo-yoshi", which represents idea of being respectful of users, suppliers, employees and the global environment.
With the company's logo "Takeda's four lozenges", originated from Takeda Sangyo Founder's crest, we will continue to devote ourselves to achieve our mission.
